Brand Strategy and Design
Fikireka is an independent studio specializing in brand strategy and design, focused on crafting the brands, products, and experiences of the regenerative futures. Established in 2016 by Arif Y and Azwah M, we collaborate with visionary leaders and organizations to develop Regenerative Futures Brands™ – brands that aim for a future that goes beyond sustainability.
Since 2016, we have collaborate with organizations such as Yayasan Kebajikan Negara, Tourism Malaysia, MDEC and PPKRM (Malaysia Wheelchair User Society), towards regenerative futures by co-developing their brand narratives with a focus on envisioning sustainable futures. Through these collaborations, we explore regenerative futures within their brand, elevating their practices to instill positive values for both people and the planet.

With over a decade of experience spanning graphic design, communication design, art direction, branding, UI/UX design, and service design, Arif has cultivated a robust skill set to take design projects from initial ideation through to successful implementation. His multifaceted background enables him to bring a holistic and dynamic approach to each new project.
He is an Associate Lecturer of MA Communicating Complexity at Central St Martins, UAL and founding member and Visiting Associate of Liveable Planet Challenge Lab at the Royal College of Art MA Service Design, alongside futurist Sanjay Khanna, NOW Partners, Adidas and UK Department for Transport.
He founded Fikireka on 2016, a brand strategy and design studio and a founding member of Kamar Studio, a sustainable artisan woodwork focusing on reclaimed wood and worskshop. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Design at Royal College of Art about the emerging grassroots alternative futures beyond sustainability.
He holds a MA in Service Design from the Royal College of Art and prior to that, studied MDes in Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art.

Azwah brings over 10 years of experience in overseeing creative projects, leading design teams, and collaborating with clients. Previously, Azwah served as an IT Analyst at Proton, specializing in ERP system (SAP), and as a Technical IT Engineer at NetBuilder, providing e-commerce support. During this time, Azwah engaged with various clients, including BrainyBunch Montessori and FashionValet.
Azwah holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia. While pursuing a Master’s degree in Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Azwah actively participated in conferences and published a paper with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Azwah also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has holds certifications in Java SE, CompTIA A+, and SAP.
